No just doesn't happen to mention two top ranked football teams are coming aboard that are higher than anyone that is in the BE now with other bowl eligible teams joining at the same time, ...or anything positive of this realignment.

Re: Announcement Wednesday!
It's to F-ing bad UH and Boise couldn't have made BCS bowls for the BCS points in determining AQ status. Even though they're headed to the Big 12 next year, should we be rooting for WVU in the Orange Bowl? I know it doesn't affect BCS points win or lose, but just for the conference's perception

We need the purple hippo to start checking the flight schedules of all the new member ADs to see if they are in NY or travelling there.

Yea, literally no one else in America is surprised or interested in this. Just the member schools that got in.

Welcome to the board Tuck
Written by an alum of my prep school about his experiences there. Nice that someone else has seen it.

Re: Announcement Wednesday!
The whole canard (BCS restructuring) that everyone seems to take as gospel is fallacious.
The BCS structure was dependent on the major bowl games all signing on in order to provide the No.1 and No. 2 teams to a Championship Game.
How does the BCS propose to only schedule the No. 1 and No. 2 teams without providing redress to the major bowls with no structure in place?
I can just see the Rose Bowl agreeing to let a No.1 or No. 2 PAC-12/B1G team mess with their game so the BCS can schedule a Championship without a quid pro quo agreement in place.
The BCS had a tough enough time getting the Rose Bowl to sign on in the first place.
But now the BCS wants us to believe that the Rose Bowl will go along with this plan to cheapen their game without reciprocity.
The same applies to the Sugar, Orange, and Fiesta Bowls so the talk of eliminating the BCS Bowl system is just so much smoke to quell the anger over the inequity and politics of their system.
ESPN has an agenda against the Big East because they said no to ESPN's low-ball TV renegotiation.
ESPN sees the new TV potential of the Big East with the addition of San Diego, Dallas, and Houston to the already large East Coast market and is angry that they may be left holding the bag as new powerful TV competitors jump in on this lucrative TV contract.
Just remember a few years ago an undefeated SEC Champion Auburn team couldn't even get to the NC game over USC/Oklahoma.
ESPN and its lobbying for the SEC are now giving us an NC with not only one, but two, SEC teams.
They also are telling us that this is good for us!
All their staff has to adhere to the party line or find themselves like Pat Forde or Bruce Feldman working elsewhere.
Evil Empire in spades!

Seriously, ESPN has too much power. The vast majority of people don't want to see LSU-Bama rematch.
but then again, SEC wanted playoff a few years back and B12 didn't. Well, they got what they wanted.

Where do you get your information? The only time playoff vs BCS was put to an actual vote, only B12 and Pac10 voted playoff.

"I think what John Marinatto just did, he should get a substantial raise for what he just accomplished," Louisville coach Rick Pitino said. "Getting Boise State. Getting Houston, SMU. I think that is as good of a job for a commissioner with his back against the wall as I’ve seen since I’ve been in athletics. The teams you lost aren’t as good in football as the teams you’re bringing in."

"The Big 12 was one of several leagues that blocked SEC commissioner Mike Slive's 2008 proposal for a four-team, seeded tournament. The ACC was the only conference that supported the plan."
