this kid never went to a Rivals Nike Camp so his height was never verified. What's the basis of your statement that he is 6-6-the Amarillo paper? Spearman is a 2A school so again this kid will have a big jump up in competition to overcome.
Texas Football has him listed at 6-5. A friend of mine from Spearman, who attended all of their games, thought that he was 6-6 and was surprised when I told that Rivals claimed that he is 6-4. He thinks that the 6-6 measurement may be more accurate. He confirmed that the 6-6 measurement was reported in the local paper. My friend says that he is a very good player, but his brother, who was a running back that went to Rice and transferred to Abilene Christian, was even better. He also said that it was his understanding that a lot of colleges were recruiting him to play the offensive line, but it is his understanding that he may prefer defense.
My understanding is that TT (offer) and OSU (interest) had been courting him very recently. Who knows... 2A players generally do have an adjustment. Just ask Eric Dickerson. His freshman year was not nearly as good as the balance of his career.
SMU...2nd to None
I love the idea of a 6'6" DE pressuring the QB and batting down passes.
![]() Go Ponies!!
Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
Its amazing I just read an article from the Amarillo paper on the date of his commitment stating that he had not been offered by anyone else but once again Stampede apparently has information which contradicts the recruits own words. AMAZING. Heck the previous time one of our recruits committed to us I was assured by Stampede that he got 3-4 offers over the following weekend. AMAZING.
jt just needs to join a gym and take his frustrations out on a punching bag or spend more time at Stan's Blue Note chilling and drinking instead of beating up on sunshiners. He likes to see himself as the anti-sunshiner...why that makes him feel good I don't know. Maybe it comes from practicing law...
![]() Stallion has a similar problem...I recommend same solution.
I simply want the truth, which is more much likely to come from Stallion.
Stampede might be a nice guy, but I suspect he lost some credibility here with his ‘great news’ post.
Re:
------------ SoCal you want the truth? Check "RIVALS", aka the STALLION BIBLE, which stated (in a separate article) on 12/06/2004... ... “I liked everything about SMU,†Brock, who was also recruited by Houston and Air Force, said. “I think coach Bennett has a lot of good things going there. The program is starting to turn things around..." No one (even the Grail er RIVALS) ever knows for sure who offers, but even Rivals acknowledge he was getting some play from other D-I school. YOU WANT THE TRUTH? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
