Have you ever seen ECU and UCF go at it? Try the UCF board. Now that is entertainment!
It makes sense to me.

SMU fans have limited knowledge about what it takes to build a top football program-and I read them all. We used to have about 3 posters that even followed recruiting until we got our own recruiting service sites. Most boards in Texas follow recruiting much closer and you don't have explain what flys over the heads of many on this board. Think it might be because we have limited numbers of Texans where recruiting has always been followed more than any other area

Do you think that is because of sheer volumes? Texas has 100,000 fans, 5% of which follow recruiting. SMU has 5,000 fans 10% of which follow recruiting.
Or do you think that Texas Tech (random example) produces a more well educated sports fan?

Texans have always followed recruiting closer because 10 schools used to recruit the same players -that doesn't happen in many states although obviously it has increased in the last decade

reading that, I would assume that our recruiting other states does not help draw our fans into the debate against other schools; whereas, Ags may go chirp on the Texas board to talk smack about a recruit they got or didn't get.
