the son of former SMU star and TCU assistant Kevin Lewis is rated the No. 10 recruit in Texas in 2006 and is being recruited by the big boys. C'mon Kevin don't let your son grow up to be a Horned Frog.

Wonder if he inherited that unorthodox shot that Ice had...

it worked and I'm sure it will work at Moody as a Mustang if Coach Tubbs chooses to recruit him.

Listen up sunshine, if he's the number 10 recruit in the state, and Tubbs chooses NOT to recruit him, then I should be the head coach of SMU men's basketball.

Lewis is part of the unbelievable '06 class in DFW. He’s 6’4” 175lbs and athletic with a nice outside shot. He’s a big-time player- top 10 in Texas and top 100 in the nation.

North Crowley HS, which I believe has only been around for five years, has developed into a force in Texas HS sports. They won state in football last year and they’ve went deep in the basketball playoffs several years in a row. More importantly, they are starting to send high-major prospects to college basketball- Kansas star guard Keith Langford, his bother Kevin Langford (a freshman forward at Cal), and now Kelvin Lewis........I think your initials have to be K.L. to play basketball at N.C.

Baylor has a basketball player from that school, too, I think. Can't remember his name, though.

You can shove it where the sunshine don't shine, pal. Your sullenness has reached epidemic proportions and is getting more than a little old.

I'm not your pal, sunshiner, but you go ahead and live in your freaking little fantasy land if you want. Your predictions of grandeur for SMU athletics got old a long time ago. I'll keep my eye on the scoreboards, the attendance, and the W-L records. And I'll state it again, if Tubbs does not choose to recruit a local top ten prospect, he should be given his pink slip and shown the door.

If the guy cannot get in, why recruit him?

I'm not asking you to be. I have a limit on the number of ambulance chasers allowed in my social circle. I can put you on the waiting list, though.

What fantasy land is that? The one in which I refuse to attack my fellow fans for showing a little hope and enthusiasm?

No, what's old is your drumbeat negativity. Sue me if I've been guilty of overenthusiasm. At least my sin doesn't suck the joy out of being a fan.

Agreed completely. But I'm not going to jump a fellow fan for appearing to disagree.

So all top local prospects should be recruited by SMU, regardless of what types of academic problems or other off court issues they might have? Sorry, but that makes no sense.

As far as Kelvin Lewis goes, he does not have any serious baggage that I know of. He does seem like a nice kid.

FWIW, I have heard that Lewis will probably choose someplace other than TCU.

You are confusing negativity with realism. That is what makes you a sunshiner. If you're proud of being a sunshiner, I got no problem with that. But don't rain on the realists--I'm quite sure I've been an SMU fan longer than you have.

We're recruiting him.

He doesnt have any academic or off-court problems.

Stampede doesnt know what he's saying, he's blowing smoke at you.

You guys are nuts.

JT and Ponyboy, please ceasefire.

If the truth is told JT, you probably havent been a fan longer than pony. You two are almost exactly the same age, and his family has a long connection to the university. You probably took at least 1 class taught by his father. So please relax, you both want the same thing.
Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
