Re: Rice and the Big East
I thought Navy would bring it to 11? Five remaining BE FB schools are CT, Rutgers, Lousiville, Cincinnati and USF. The new FB only members are Boise State and San Diego State, while Houston, UCF and SMU are all sports. If BE goes to 12, then it might be Navy and who? Air Force and BYU have passed on this possibility.

Re: Rice and the Big East
You wish Rice would care, but yeah couldnt agree more that they only care about baseball. Its a little easier to recruit for, and typically baseball players are a little bit smarter than the average football player. It shocks me that SMU doesnt have one.
Obviously Memphis and Temple are the backups if the 12 team falls throug. They would make the basketball programs very happy and would make us smile to beat up on either of them.

Premise: To help keep Louisville and Cincinnati happy with a strong BB and in the region school, it would not surprise me to think that U. of Memhis will be a surprise factor, when adding another team.
BTW, will Justin Fuente, OC from TCU, be able to turn the Tigers' FB team around in three years?
And, will the school 'pony up' the budget and get fans into the Liberty Bowl?
