I count 63 scholarships tied up-assuming the inevitable defections I wouldn't be surprised to see SMU take a full class by next August. (Remember the scholarship limits don't come into play until Next August 1) In fact, they could go over 25 by counting the JC recruits on last year's recruiting numbers since we gave substantially less than 25 last year.

not sure this is the year we would want to load up - I am thinking next year would be better - we are bound to have a little more MO going then - those that know - is that right or do you have to do the best you can so as not to have a big numbers gap in any given year?

If there's a player available today who can help, he has to be signed. It's not like we're coming off a 10-win season. Whatever has to be done to increase the wins total must, in fact, be done.
