Linebacker to return

Junior linebacker Byron Brown, whose season was cut short when he was diagnosed with a concussion after the Southern Miss game, said Tuesday he has been cleared to resume practicing with his teammates in the spring. Brown said he thinks he actually could have played in the regular-season finale against Rice, but given the nature of head injuries - the concussion he suffered against Southern Miss actually was his second of the season - a more conservative approach was adopted. Brown will be a senior next season.

Hope he's careful coming back, but this is good news. Doctors are very cautious with head injuries, so if they're clearing him to play, he must be in pretty good shape!
