Bad officiating
There was an uncalled block in the back on our first td.

And the Pitt forward pass alled as fumble.

If you are referring to our O-Lineman's block of a Pitt blitzer before JJ got rid of the ball, that took place within the "free blocking zone" where clipping and block in the back is legal.
The free blocking zone extends 6 yards behind the line of scrimmage. The LOS was the 50 and the block took place at the 45 or 46 (hard to tell on the youtube highlight video)

Re: Bad officiating
Watched the game in person and the replay. This was a Big XII-II-II+I crew. Considering how pathetic that conference officiating normal is, this was a stellar performance. I though they did a good job all in all. The inadvertent whistle was a rare moment where an obvious officiating screw up helped us. I can’t think of the last time a true official screw up with major game implications went our way.
Re: Bad officiating
When Pitt faked their punt and got a first down the replay could not find any Pitt player that jumped off sides.

Re: Bad officiating
False start. Outside cover man at the top of the TV screen (Right end closes to SMU sideline). HE had a slight motion prior to the snap. And right in front of the Sideline judge. Hard to miss it if one is right there.

Re: Bad officiating
the inadvertant whistle was bad for pitt but the running into the kicker instead of ruffing made up for it.

Anyone could see it (man at top of screen) except for the former Pitt QB who was announcing on TV
