It wasn't public knowledge. Do you really think that Penn State would have continued providing an office for Sandusky had their knowledge about his actions become public knowledge?
Its posted because it had been speculated on by so many SMU fans. This is some confirmation. Personally to me I think everything is fair in Love and Recruiting but I'd agree its a little shady. Not going to lose much sleep about it though

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

Well that's an apples-to-apples comparison. And it was public knowledge to anyone with a lick of sense.

I know, but most around here didn't have a lick of sense.
And forgive the comparison...was just trying to illustrate that decisions are often different if there is public pressure
This really is old news. Gabe Marks said as much when the whole thing went down. The other recruit who switched to Nebraska was pretty direct evidence, etc. etc. etc. Let's move on for the sake of SMU.

Here's the facts. The only player we lost that really mattered was Marks. All of the others were 2 and 3 star players. True, they would have helped us, but they are replaceable. In fact, I say we still have our best 2012 recruits outside of Marks. I haven't seen these kids play, but I wrote somewhere earlier that Lewis was probably too small to be a big asset. I base this on past experience of watching 150 to 160 lb, 5'10" high school wonders. Hulick is a 2 star lineman. I'll bet you we can get several of those after 'Signing Day'. As for UCLA, if they are playing big boy ball (PAC12) and counting on 2 and 3 star recruits then they are going to have a hard time winning many games.
On that note, we could have used all of those guys, no doubt. But, SMU needs some 4 and 5 star recruits. I will get a lot more excited about 4 and 5 * guys then the ones we did loose (except for Marks).
