BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Craig James against Texas in 1979. Kenneth Simms (77) and Earl Campbell's little brother (86) are also in the pic as Texas players.

SMU's great coach Matty Bell before his coaching days. Centre College is the team he played for. I met Coach Bell when he was very elderly. A remarkable gentleman.

The 'standing' mustang was a great helmet!

Correction on the pic (I believe), that was A$M & not TCU. Wasn't that the '68 Aggie game in the Cotton Bowl? I was there if it was.

For a kid growing up in the 60's following the Mustangs (from Texarkana), it was magical!!
