Depends on the candidate. For some candidates I understand that we are willing to go significantly above that 1.4M mark

that is what I hear as well. I guess when (if) we fire DOH, how fast we replace him will depend on whether our candidate is in the dance. I would think Orsini's list has been whittled down by now.

I look for this process to move fairly quickly to save our 2012 class and deter any transfer thoughts by the current players. Hopefully this is not wishful thinking.

Orsini will make an announcement 7-10 days following the end of the CUSA tourney.

I doubt that is going to happen.

I saw on the news that Majerus missed a game because he didn't take his blood pressure meds. Not a good omen there.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Avery Johnson Steve Fisher
That's when I learned that quaaludes and water skiing don't mix.

Really like the Avery and Rolando possibilities. Avery is probably out of our price range.

Avery can't be in a real good spot with a 12-26 record. Deron can't continue to score 56 and Lopez 40 against the Mavs. I'm sure he'd like to get closer to his home state of Louisiana. I bet both he and Ro would be great recruiters. Would love to see either one at SMU.

Van Gundy did attend one of our games last year when he was here to cover a Mavericks game. In fact, so did Pat Riley two or three years ago to scout a freshman center from Marshall. Hmmmmmmmm... "RoboRiley" has a nice alliteration and ring to it.

Instead of Jeff Van Gundy or his brother Stan, we would probably hire his younger brother Skip Van Gundy based upon his record as an assistant at ND. Or better yet: Charles Nelson Riley.
