Plus, you comdemnation of SO, seems way over the top. With our recent BB track record, recruiting will be a challenge. Suggesting that SO blew it, does not reflect the reality of our situation and our path to improvement. What's with the anger?

Any statement at this point that our coaching search is a failure is absurdly premature. We will not be able to intelligently evaluate this search or Orsini's performance until a new coach is in place and, even then, not until we have a few seasons to see how the new coach does. I don't care if we hire Rick Pitino or someone who has never coached a day of college hoops in his life. If that person takes us to the tournament and makes us a winning program in the BE, then this coaching search will have been a success.

If nothing else its showing the BB community that we want to deal in. Nobody really expects we'd even have the balls to go after top candidates. Now they are reminded again that we are investing in the program. Its one thing for A&M or OU to swing and miss-another for SMU to swing and miss. If nothing else we get the information out about of new facilities. Net positive for SMU's reputation

It's similar to the SMU to the Big XII campaign - did it get us in? no, but it got us a lot of pub and had to help us get invited to the Big East.
