When wide receiver Gehrig Dieter graduated a semester early from Washington High School in South Bend, Ind., the expectation was that he would get a jumpstart on learning the college game by taking part in spring workouts with his new teammates. But a knee injury suffered last fall had Dieter worried that he might not get on the field this spring. Dieter visited with PonyFans.com to discuss the injury, how it affected his play last season and his early impressions of new receivers coach Jason Phillips.
Enjoy!

Glad the knee is OK. This extra spring practice will be huge for him.
