I once knew a Phi Delt named Grider from Lukfin. He was a champion muff diver and satisfied a 1/3 of the DG House.

Again, I am that man, and damn do I miss those DG's. They were a friendly bunch of gals.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Doesn't this belong on the "other sports" board? If SMU formed a women's team for Title IX purposes, I'd be a season ticket holder.

If SMU needs funding, just say the word and I will open up my thick wallet.

Hell, I'd go back to school again and tryout for the team. I believe I still have all my eligibility.

Sure beats the hell out of putting good money after bad towards any other sport we have.

I love this... "I once knew a Grider from Lufkin"... It's like a Fairy Tale.

I once knew a Grider from Lufkin
He served the DG's screwdrivers
In his chariot made from a pumpkin

For he is Grider, the Champion Muff Diver!

I once knew a man named Grider
He could make the duck walk
And hit on women named Ryder

What? What? You say, of this crazy talk
Who? Who? Of whom do I speak?

"I am he. I am he," proclaims Grider
"He, he. Ho, ho. Ha, ha. He, he."

[And of course all of this goes perfectly with Grider's humorous avatar image.]

--------

Back to the actuall meat and potatos of the post... I like the type of athlete we are getting. And yes, I too am tired of people bagging on folks who are coming to our school. Why don't we spend all our time talking about how much Ryan Perriloux (sp) sucks, and how he's a commitment-phobe. (And yes, I know he doesn't suck... but if he ends up going to Texas then of course he really sucks.)

I am not a recruiting analyst. I said in my post I have no problem with SMU signing Enright. However, many competitive programs would have a problem and most analyst would consider such a recruit a sleeper at the major college football level. I know one Matt Diggs at Rivals Texas Prep Xtra (see DFW Metroplex message boards) who says Enright is the most overrated LM there is and he could only make it at a school like SMU. He decided to not even include Enright in his all DFW team even though Enright was an almost unanimous All 5A. I don't necessarily agree with Diggs but he probably represents the general consensus among recruiting services AND probably in fact of the Head Coaches of competitive Division 1A programs. I hope Enright proves em wrong.

Reminder - Enright DID make Wallace's SuperPREP Texas top 99 list and was on Lemmings list at #20. I have seen nothing anywhere else to suggest this kid CAN'T get it done!

A Great Player Who WILL Be Difference Maker

Ponymon, you can't possibly be suggesting that Stallion might be wrong in his comments about Mr. Enright. Seriously, I'm only kidding, Ponymon. Stallion's last post on this subject simply demonstrates that he is the most arrogant full of himself and it individual who truly needs to get a life. For him to have made that unnecessary, idiotic post is the type of material a clinical analyst would thrive upon. Here we have Stallion, who purports to be an attorney, and he resorts to paraphrasing an alleged heresay statement from some dufus named Matt Diggs (now everybody surely recognizes that name), who has the impecable credentials of being both Stallion's friend and a recruiting analyst for Rivals Texas Prep Extra, to run down Mitch Enright when Stallion doesn't have the guts to do it himself. But, even more incredibly, Counselor Stallion then goes on to state that the paraphrased, alleged heresay statement from the famous Mr. Diggs unquestionabley represents the consensus opinion about Mitch Enright - not only from all recruiting services - but also from all Head Coaches at competitive Division I-A schools. Stallion, you're full of crap! My greatest wish and vision at this moment would be to see Mitch Enright pancake your worthless, inflated [deleted]! You really outdid yourself this time!

Ilove the new poster "Herd Backer"

SMU has needed to recruit more BIG MEN for years. Two years ago, Bennett signed a bunch and this year he has 7 to 9 BIG MEN again.

Personally, I do not think that is enough but, I am not the coach.

Whew! I guess Johnny married one of those DG's from the Grider era...
