With signing day just one day away, I think I really like this class. We will have some 6'1" receivers and DB's and Safety's.
You all agree that that is good.

The best part is....
BIG MEN.
Yep, you have to love the fact that we have a fresh new OL coming in and then some Juco DT help ( don't forget about Mouton ) with freshmen D-line players to grow.
Yes I am happy.

Could be happier with MORE BIG MEN.

As you should be. I think the JUCOs really will be able to help right away, especially Cox and Goode. I also like the size added to the lines. Givens and Sanders sound impressive, too. And Brock is a wild card -- who knows what a 2A guy from the edge of the earth will bring? Sure sounds good on paper, though.

They always do.....

That said - you have to like the JUCO route. Now we need some basketweaving and some partial qualifiers and we will have this thing up and running again.

I think you left out the part of recruiting the cream of the DFW football crop. Maybe Visa Gift Cards funded through a bank out of the Caymans would help. :-)

We are not going to compete for those boys nor those schools. You may not agree with that stance but it is the ONLY way for SMU to build the program.
Coaches, Facilities, weightroom, Academics.

Way to Go Coaches.

I think that we have a great class coming in. The JUCO's will help as well. My concern is that we pulled in only 2 of the DMN's Area 100 and none in the State 100. Wasn't the stated goal to recruit in this area. We are getting our butt kicked locally by Tulsa. They have snagged 6 Area Top 100 players.

If the selling points are Coaches, Facilities, Weightroom, Academics, then tell me how Tulsa(whom we beat) pulled in so many top players in this area. We have them easily beat in 3 of the 4 categories. Have you ever been to Skelley Stadium? It is similar in setup to Fouts Field in Denton. What they appear to have is the ability to out recruit us in our own backyard. Even Tulane did as well as we did locally.

I am not saying that this will hurt us now but if you can't recruit in your own back yard against the likes of Tulsa or Tulane then you are going to regret it later.
