3 new injury updates

• CB J.R. Richardson said his surgery on his left knee was successful, and added that it confirmed he had torn only his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) with no other structural damage.

• DE Cameron Smith's 2012 season is over after he had surgery last week to clean out some scar tissue and bone spurs from his right big toe. Smith will redshirt this season while recovering.

• WR Chayse Joubert said his playing career at SMU is over after being medically disqualified. Joubert, who had surgery after tearing his left ACL in 2010, had arthroscopic surgery on the knee this summer, and was told his knee could not withstand the pounding of returning to the field.

That's a shame for Joubert. Hope he stays in school and contributes in other ways.

Man, that sucks for Joubert. Sorry to hear. At least he's able to get a good education.

Tough to hear about Smith as we need that DL depth but "that's football".

Anything new on KC? I think he's just resting his shoulder, yes?
