It is kind of funny that alcohol is not served at SMU Sporting Events except to the people who make the decision not to serve alcohol to the rest of us. If the Baptist can look the other way while Baylor fans drink alcohol at tailgates then Methodist should be able to serve alcohol at sporting events. I personally could care less as I wouldn't drink much until post game

Would be nice to work in some local breweries.

What is the difference between a Baptist and a Methodist?

The Methodist will say "hello" when he sees you at the liquor store.

Seriously, assuming it's not a UP code thing there is no reason not to sell beer at Ford and Moody. More tickets sold and a lot more money for all involved. Even do the silly thing and make it a "club" like they had to do with the Unicard if you have to.

UALR allows for beer/wine sales at UALR basketball games. I believe the SEC as a conference doesn’t allow beer/wine sales. Is that true with CUSA? Big East?

To allow folks to have booze on the Vard seems like it took a considerable amount of work with the Univeristy Park government.

this is just not true. vote was last november. passed. you can buy beer at any old 7-11 or gas station now. no more 'club' requirement.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

at very least we should have an end zone club next to the scoreboard with adult refreshments and tv's and a lounge. not very much to ask.

uhh, we did have that. it was a big white tent, next to the scoreboard. you could buy beer.

Thanks. The Arkansas Democrat Gazette doesn't routinly feature UP votes in its coverage so I missed the voting results last November.

Has this topic actually ever been brought up officially? Does anyone know?

I'm just curious why this hasn't happened...

I could really care less if we sell beer or not from a personal standpoint. Whether or not I can drink during an activity has long since dropped off my list of criteria as to whether or not to go. Having said that, given the amount of revenue it would bring in, and that it is common at other sporting events, I think we should sell it.

I managed to sneak booze into Texas Stadium, Ownby and the Cotton Bowl. While I haven't been to Ford (yet), I am pretty sure I could figure out how to get enough rum into the game to keep the party going.

isn't this really a discussion about how do we bring in more revenue and put more butts in seats.

My Grandson plays for West Virginia. They sell booze there. I understand it can get rough at a game. I guess I'll find out when I go to Morgantown for the OU game. Surely the Park City people wouldn't be as Redneck as the WVU Mountaineers.
