We lost. To a better team. Outside our conference. Get over it. Move on.

Bottom line ... We are very weak in our secondary (don't know if it's Odum/coaching and/or recruiting or what). We made many mistakes early (over eager offsides/dropped balls, etc). There were several terrible calls and several terrible missed calls. None of these things have anything to do with June Jones. I'm sick of hearing it. A bunch of knee jerk/over-reacting idiots. Name who you'd hire whose better. Quit whining and support the team.

Quit drinking the koolaid!

How old are you?

Do you have any better koolaid? Before 5 years ago, we didn't even look like a Div1 program. I know. I was there. It can be A LOT worse. Trust me.

You guys are idiots. I'm sorry, but I'm done with it. Again, NAME who you'd replace him with? Oh, that's right, you can't. Because all you know how to do is complain.

4-20 record versus teams that finished with winning records. 1-11 combined record versus Houston, TCU, Tech, Baylor and A&M. 24-29 overall record. Those are horrendous no matter how much better they are compared to his predecessors (who weren't working with a competitive model).

As far as replacements go I'm fine with anyone that actually cares about recruiting and has interest in running an offense that isn't stuck in 1994. For 2 million a year you honestly don't think we can get someone better?

I have always been a defender of JJ. I grant you I am very embarrassed and angry at the moment from this performance. The sun will come up tomorrow and I will re-evaluate my current negative thoughts, but at this moment in time JJ and the rest of the staff should be at least as embarrassed as I am. The bus ride back to Dallas should be filled with an honest introspection of career choices from every member of this staff. This was a shameful performance.

GG was exceedingly inaccurate. When he did get the ball where it needed to be the receivers dropped the ball. When BLM played his first game against Rice JJ kept all passes to the outside. Rice adjusted and our offense was inept. The very same thing happened tonight. Baylor adjusted at the half and our offense went no where in the second half until Baylor put in the scrubs.

The defensive front 7 was manhandled by the BU offensive line. The secondary had too many blown coverages.

The team showed poor composure with all of the penalties on the first drive. 100% On the coaching staff.

The part that upsets me the most. With the exception of ZL. This team didn't look like it wanted to be on the field. That is 100% on the coaching staff.

What the hell is wrong with you, just because he pulled us out of losing seasons doesn't mean he needs to keep his job. The progress goes like this and he has accomphlished

1. Above .500 every season - check
2. Bowl games - check
3. Winning the conference - nope
4. Getting Top 25 ranking - nope
5. Getting Dallas behind us - nope
6. Getting respect in the state - nope
7. Getting national attention - nope
8. BCS - nope
*June did not get us into the Big East. We got in b/c of our TV market

The goal is build the program year on year, college football is all about momentum. SMU being a small school we have to build and prove year after year that we are getting better because we where terrible for 20+ years.

I want to be like TCU football. The questions is do you?

The thing about Jones is you never get the impression he is willing to do something different. Its always we do what we do but for me that isn't getting it done on offense and certainly not inside the 20. For this a lot of people jump to getting rid of him. He would do himself a favor to show something new but he is just too stuborn to do so.

JJ's reputation is he is a QB's best friend, but in his 5th year here, he has underperformed in developing QB's, 3 have transferred, he ended up having to lay a New Mexico State castoff last year (which McDermott played as well as one could have wanted), has the QB position passed JJ thought processes, I keep hearing about he and Mouse were the inventors of the R&S, but that was 30 years ago, the SMOO QB's are just not performing under JJ's system, I am big JJ fan, but just calling it like I see it.

I still think we win CUSA but we are not ready for the big stage.

In DCTF this year, both Art Briles and Kevin Sumlin were said to be the best coaches at developing QB's at the college level here in Texas.......not the self proclaimed "guru".

That's because June is living off stuff he did 5+ years ago at Hawaii. He has been passed up by a lot of guys in that time.
