I have to say a word..

about a small bar in Waco. Sunday, while everyone was sweating and being pushed around in George's, The Colonel and I found a little bar on Austin Street downtown called Treffs. Just a few pool tables and some small tables and chairs, but it was so chilly the Colonel wore her sweater (remember how hot it was?) The only other people in the bar were 10 guys huddled over laptops bidding on fantasy football. We ordered 2 Margaritas and they were cold and excellent and we were only charged $2.50 each!!! Further, the bartender was serving delicious Jambalya FREE! We had a ball eating and downing several chilly drinks each till it was time to go the the MC Tailgate, where we roasted.

A long post, but the time we spent in Treffs was the highlight of the trip to Waco, unfortunately.

I think I've been there, and if so.... yes, that place is GREAT!!! (Or how I felt after I left there a couple years ago, that prace is GLEAT!!!)
