Just had a bad game. He'll be okay.

Yeah, I get less impressed with him every game. Dieter needs to be starting at one of these outside spots.

He just needs to start, period, regardless of the spot. Or, at the very least, get in the game as a blocker. Look at Those quick outs early in the game - both Loftin and Thompson missed those blocks because they are tiny guys. Put Dieter or Holeman out there to block and it's 5-6 yards a pop every time. I hate it when coaches stay so married to a "system". Play to your personnels' strengths. With this offense, this means heavy doses of Line (with Nlemchi giving him a blow) and putting your 2 big receivers out front blocking and letting DJ and Thompson (speed burners) get out in open spaces. Then you take your deep shots once/quarter (or more if it's clicking).

Make him drop the apostrophe in his first name if he keeps dropping passes?

Speed might not count if you don't have the ball in your hands!

What nlemchi even dressed last night? I looked for him on the sideline, but if he was there I missed him.

I saw one well built young man in khaki shorts, red Nike shirt and white hat that I am guessing was Nlemchi. I guess he is hurt.

Nlemchi is still banged up.

Dieter has great hands, but hasn't figured out the reads in the offensive system yet. He can block and run straight down the field pretty much.

Give this until the bye before the TCU game and I think we will see Stewart and Dieter challenge for starting spots.

He can't catch a contested ball. He can't catch an uncontested ball. He adjusts terrible on the deep ball. Next.

P.S. Stop wasting snaps on Cole Loftin.

Let's not forget AR dropped a lot of those kinds of deep passes where he was wide open. That said the drops by the recievers in general are not acceptable.

Agree with the comment about Loftin.

and while you are at it they need to keep Darius on the bench too because he dropped the touchdown in the endzone against Baylor and then fumbled after being hit in the third quarter resulting in a db picking it up and going 60 yards for a score resulting in a probable 28 point turnaraound....is that the thinking on this post? I didn't think so. You can't say it is ok that one guy drops passes but that is ok and then another guy like Derik drops a couple and gets hammered. Maybe the qb was supposed to audible out of a bad blocking situation such as it was maybe a zone look but rolled up into a man coverage basically destroying the play but of course you experts already knew that. Either you played in the line or you have never stepped foot on a football field....except maybe as a cheerleader, drill team guy or bandmemeber.....not that there is anything wrong with that. Derrik has made many a big play and has the speed and will probalby be in the nfl following in Beasley (yea that guy yall complained about for 4 years and Al Robinson(yea that guy with the speed but no hands) who is in the nfl and Darius who will be in the nfl and Sanders who is in the nfl. funny how they weren't good enough for you at SMU but SMU has more receivers in the nfl the last 3 years than Tech, TCU and Ags combined! Hell yeah. Remember him at the game vs. Tulane? Must have been 1999 and I think I screamed myself hoarse watching him almost bring us back in spite of our own ineptness. Almost went out to buy my "Johnny 5" jersey after that. Ok, so maybe screaming myself hoarse had something to do with the French Quarter, but I did go to that game. Thanks for the Johnny 5 throwback!
