La Tech up 45-17 in the 4th. Very impressed with Sonny Dykes team.

That's an understatement. Never seen this much separation between the top Big 10 teams and the rest of the country's best teams. Embarrassing for them.

La Tech is looking like an 11-1 team at worst, Dykes' stock is going to be through the roof around December when hiring season is in full swing.

How about coach in waiting? It worked in Basketball. Dykes can pretend to care what JJ says - meanwhile his new staff can recruit like bandits while we burn off the last year of JJ's contract?

I would love Dykes, but doubt he would be interested in SMU. I am sure he would rather go to Arkansas, Auburn, Texas Tech etc.

He's an offensive guy, came up under Leach

I hope those saying Illinois is not that good are not doing to so try to undervalue the job Dykes has done with LA Tech. He has done a fine job.

Reading mike leach's book has been quite an eye opener. Guys from his coaching tree include holgerson, who played wr for him at Iowa Wesleyan, art Briles, who he hired to have a Texas hs connection when he got to Tech, and of course Dykes who started as a GA under Leach.

Seems like Kingsbury should be somewhere in the HC chair soon. Could be the next Holgorsen
