ineptitude seems to run rampant
no one seems to notice
he asks would 1-11 help?
PonyFans come running fast
no you are terrible fan
my fan-wiener is bigger than yours

Re: Good Luck Guys (and Gals)
Listen I can understand what I wrote seems to be an extreme, with what you said about seniors is right. I would say I want the seniors (especially def players) to have a good year. However let me explain my thought process (assuming we had no last year seniors or they all get drafted), my thought is it would take a huge loss for anything to happen (like JJ getting fired and get a true SMU coach who wants to wear red and blue. I'm worried that a 6-6 or better will lead to the bright people who controls JJ paycheck to give an extension. Maybe I'm wrong, but I truly think they will do anything to main mediocrity vs going for the risk to be powerhouse. I'll admit throat most what I write (besides anti-JJ) never hits real ears as I'm always that loser fan who supports his losing team like a UTer does. However I would love to write the WRs and hit heir coach about the great disgust I have for the lazy performance that I've witness and screamed at. As for the Pony Poet Laureate, I would say in response that I would have to hold my breath and rip the band-aid (this season) so healing begins (new coaches) so I can be at my full potential (powerhouse SMU), so I never have to write another negative post like this againSMUSIC 07 wrote:SMU_alumni11:
I'm guessing about four people in Dallas want JJ to stick around, but you don't see the others clamoring for the seniors on this team to lose every game just so the coach can get fired. He's doing enough on his own to appropriate cause, in wins and losses alike. Root for your team. Be happy when they win and upset, even angry when they lose. I know you think the WRs aren't trying, but that's no reason to wish a 1-11 season on the kids busting their asses out there everyday just so you can sit back in your office chair and anonymously berate them. Have a little bit of class: wear your Peruna hat in silence, and leave the comment section to the real fans.

It would be nice to be at a school where consistent 7 win seasons gets a coach fired. SMU however is not at that level yet.

I support the team that wants to be a powerhouse, not the team that thinks beating up CUSA means theyre awesome. I support teams that challenge themselves beyond their skill level rather than accepting the bare minimum.Mustangsabu wrote:Powerhouse SMU. That's what you support?

We're not at that level and we're not building to that level. Here lays the problem.

anyone who isn't pulling for this SMU team to win out, win the CUSA championship and then whatever bowl game we would go to...has no business calling themselves fans of SMU

Why don't you tell the players that to their faces? That's just chicken***t!

Maybe I wouldn't mind negative posts so much if they were proofread for spelling and grammar.

What I want to see is this team (not the fans) get angry enough to beat the H out of the rest of their opponents! Fight for those passes and those yards. JJ will be gone after next year anyway.

Great, he gets another recruiting class that will make it that much harder for the next guy.
