if big E connects to Hawaii bowl then we will squueze out 6 wins, since lord knows our coach will do whatever it takes to go back to hawaii to have his butt kissed.
We might but we will still win at least 6 in conference games.
I don't see it. Maybe if we were still staying in CUSA, but the conference competition just got better. Not much much better, but still visibly better. What does it matter though, we lost to Tulane and Rice, arguably our "freebies" in our conference schedule.
Ok for the all people thinking the Hawaii bowl will do anything to attendance you are naive and way too idealistic. I'm not trying to sound like a pessimist but the fact is more people will forget that there is a bowl on than actually pay attention to the game. Hell even if we just absolutely annihilate Fresno state and its on Espn, we might see a 5% increase in fans at best. Our hope next year is the kids upset a dismantled tech team and an overconfident Baylor team, and hope fatterson helps out SMU by giving us another win at their place and we compete and lose by 7 against Johnny football. Theirs my over idealistic dreams but I put money on mine than on any increase in fans from Hawaii bowl win.
Our schedule should give us the ability to go 6-6 give or take 1. We should beat temple, Houston, UConn, SDSU, Memphis, one of the 4 and Boise at home. I think it's very possible. This time around going 6-6 actually won't seem like a disgrace. I just hope big east doesn't lower itself to signing the Hawaii bowl..

Who said anything about the Hawaii bowl improving attendance? You are the first person to even mention attendance in this thread.

With the beatdown SMU put on Houston how is that not a win for SMU?
Don't let your first win against us in almost a decade get you anymore delusional than you already are. We have at least 18 starters returning. (All 11 on offense and I'm not entirely sure how many on D we have returning but no less than 7) Plus you guys can't win in Houston regardless.

But you still have the same coach. By the way, sorry you guys have a tougher schedule than SMU. LOL.

You have the same coach too and we all know that if there's no Hawaii Bowl in it for him, not a single [deleted] will be given. Plus SMU is one of the LAST schools that should ever talk coaching smack. Levine is hiring an entirely different staff, so we'll see how it goes on top of which, even with a 5-7 record, he completely outclasses JJ on the recruiting trail.
