The lack of success this year does not give me much hope for next year. Even with the talent that is coming in.

Start with our team this year. Two upgrades coming in who are actual PGs. Manuel and Russel have to battle for minutes at SG. One of the best JUCO players in the country comes in and replaces our weakest link at PF. And then depth across the board.

Not only will we have depth but we are also upgrading starters at our two most problematic positions. That means a massive step forward.

Agreed, I think next year we win most of these games. Looking forward to it, but it's still frustrating to see how close we have been in virtually every game we've lost!

Cunningham is great - just playing out of position - he should be a 4. The issue is no shooters outside, which will change next year for sure. i am not the least bit discouraged. We have a great coach, great transfers and recruits, the best basketball facility in the country coming our way, and some very nice out of conference games.

This is definitely more a case of deer in the headlights as opposed to being too tired or thin to win. Couldn't be more obvious. we are just tightening up in crunch time and cannot make shots or free throws. Sad three point defense too, tentative and confused, really sad. Moody Mausoleum was back today. The home fans have seen this same movie too many times this season.

Have to agree here, somewhat. The team didnt look tired to me, Brown substituted much more than normal in the first half, Uche, Cotton and Dickerson all played in the first half, and Bernardi got alot of minutes. No one looked tired at 20 seconds left when we stole the inbounds pass, there was plenty of energy and hustle out there. But the team tightens up at crunch time, like they are afraid of failing. Nick Russell tries to do too much by himself, and when he tightens up and forces things he makes mistakes.

ECU rallied from 17 down and took the lead with more than 10 minutes to go in the game, thats too early to blame it on being tired.

I think UH loses at UTEP, wins vs Marshall, wins vs Rice and loses at Tulane to finish 6-10.

Marshall loses at UH, vs USM and at ECU to finish 5-11.

UAB loses at Tulane, vs SMU, vs UCF and at Memphis to finish 5-11.

If we win vs Rice and at UAB that would give us 5 wins and a tie with Marshall and UAB. Win at Tulsa and vs UTEP and we jump ahead of all 3 with a record of 7-9.

Realistically we don't win all 4, but its possible and sure would be nice!
