Good deal. Congratulations to our coaches and to Chris. Hoping to see one or more Mustangs on each NFL team.

Wow that's surprising. I wonder what the details on that are. I'm assuming he still has to make the team for it to be guaranteed this year?

Make that TWO Mustangs who signed contracts Thursday.
From SMUMustangs.com:
Two Mustangs Sign Pro Deals
Banjo Signs With Jacksonville; Frazier With Winnipeg
DALLAS (SMU) - Former SMU standouts Chris Banjo and Marquis Frazier have signed professional football contracts. Banjo will join the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL, while Frazier will head north to the Winnipeg Jets of the CFL.
Banjo was not with an NFL club in 2012 after participating on a tryout basis with Oakland and Pittsburgh at their respective rookie minicamps. He was a four-year starting safety on the Hilltop, where he started all 12 games as a senior and posted 82 tackles. The Sugar Land, Texas, native was an honorable-mention All-Conference USA selection following his senior season.
Frazier, who also sat out the 2012 season, finished his collegiate career with 142 total tackles, ten sacks, one interception and five pass breakups. He was named second team All-C-USA as a senior after starting games at both defensive tackle and defensive end, recording 45 tackles and three sacks in 2011.
Mustang fans can meet numerous SMU pros and greats at the Mustang Fan Fair on Saturday, April 20. As part of SMU Founder's Day Weekend, sports fans can watch SMU Mustang football practice starting at 9 a.m., and get autographs from Kelvin Beachum, Russell Carter, Margus Hunt, Louie Kelcher, Zach Line, Lance Mcllhenny, Sterling Moore, Aldrick Robinson, Emmanuel Sanders and more. Kids can get pictures taken with Peruna and cheerleaders, and food, beverages and spirit gear will be available for purchase. Current players will be available for autographs after practice.
Admission and parking for this event and the adjacent Meadows Museum Open House are free and open to the public.
Following practice, kids may also compete in an official NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition. The NFL Punt, Pass & Kick (PPK) program is a national skills competition for boys and girls. The top finishers from each of the ten (10) groups will advance to a sectional competition. The PPK program is also free.
Due to NCAA rules, the NFL PPK competition will be open to all kids aged six years thru eighth grade. Competition will start at the end of SMU Football practice and will conclude at 12:30 p.m. Participants can register online or register that day starting at 9 a.m. All PPK participants are encouraged to arrive early for the competition. Proof of age will be required at check in.

That is great! How come most of our NFL players are rom our weakness area on the field? Seems most of our NFL players are on defense and the secondary to boot!
