welcome to Arkansas Mr. Ford

Postby mrydel » Sat Jul 06, 2013 10:44 am

Saw that Gerald Ford's bank group has purchased Metropolitan Bank in Arkansas. I wish he and his group luck in rebuilding a once prospering local bank that has been in some difficulty in the past few years. I look forward to their entrance into Arkansas banking and competing with them in the market.

They won't be making many loans, just buy and cash cow their acquisitions

It will be interesting to watch. They bought it very cheap but they are having to put in a lot of capital. Do not know how Mr. Ford operates, but if he wants someone to give him 2 good years I would be interested in talking to his people.

would that be two straight good years, or would you be looking for two good years out of five?

Well I have found the money for the IPF. Bankruptcy Court held an auction for Metropolitan Bank and Mr. Ford was outbid for purchase by a local Arkansas bank. Guess I will not be able to see him operate here but it does free up some money he was going to spend.

I worked with Jerry 20 years ago before he made the billions. He was a class act back then and I can't imagine him changing.
