hmm looks like SMU tried to get him into school at the February signing period-he didn't qualify until taking 3 courses and graduating this July

6-3 290 and can play all 3 positions on their 3-4 defensive line. Did SMU ever really extend him an offer?

it wouldn't have mattered anyway unless we were willing to wait on him because we signed a full class and he didn't have the transcript to sign in February -probably needed 7-8 credit courses at the time because he said he needed at least 3 courses during summer school to graduate. He had to graduate to become eligible because he was a non-qualifier at West Virginia.

Sounds like Tech is going to need a lot more than him with the depth problems they have on the D-Line.

If the guy can play it allows Tech to move their All Big 12 candidate Kerry Hyder back to his natural DE position

Looks like the NCAA Clearinghouse is our friend as the JUCO DT hasn't been cleared yet and can't practice until he does. Its going to be pretty hard for him to be much of a factor at least in the SMU game unless he is cleared soon.
