The fact that we are in the mix with so many high profile guys makes the chances of landing at least one pretty high. And you don't need too many of the guys on this list to have a pretty damn competitive team

A couple of updates to the my original post. We made a new offer to OK big Mitchell Solomon (3-star PF with offers from OU, Okie St, A&M and TT). Also, interesting tweet from PonyStampede.com that has a quote from Mudiay "playing for Coach Brown would be incredible." http://bit.ly/1bEDBj2

Were not technically in mudiay's top 5 yet, he said he is announcing an official sometime in early august. But in that "it would be incredible to play for LB" interview he mentioned smu, brown, and his relationship with maligli right after kentucky and KU. So fingers crossed. He also mentioned potentially teaming up with turner.

I still think landing the first big name with frazier is huge for us. Today with power teams forming in the nba, I think recruits like to team up together as well.

From all the tweets I read regarding Mudiay, I have a feeling it's coming down to Kentucky and SMU. Calipari vs. LB. hopefully Frazier can be the deciding factor. The visit to Kentucky's midnight madness scares me though.....

Beating UK to a Top 5 kid would be a huge positive for our program. A couple of big scalps this year and I think we'll have a shot at even more of these kids in the future

SMU hoops needs a breakout season in our sparkling new facility to attract the attention of the really top players. Until we show we can win at the highest level and start putting guys in the NBA, we aren't going to beat Kentucky for recruits

We offered another 2014 recruit today. SF Isaiah Wilkins out of Georgia. 3-star and ranked 123 in the class. He has close to 20 offers including Auburn, Clemson, Florida St and Virginia.

USF went to the NCAA tournament 2 years ago but last year had a bunch of injuries and no big man. This year they have a big man (if he makes it into school) and a top 25 recruiting class. We can't take them for granted.

I think it is hilarious/awesome we are even entertaining the idea of going head to head with UK for a recruit. I know football and basketball are different, but can you imagine us fighting with Alabama for a top recruit?? LB is my hero!

Bama just got a commit from another 4 star QB so they are not in the picture in reality. It is between SMU and USF.
