I agree that we still shouldn't over look them or anyone else. Especially since we lost to them last year.

Do you guys go to sleep at night shivering and balled up in the fetal position? Sure, any team can beat any other team on any given night. Blah, blah, blah. Do not overlook any opponent. Blah blah, blah. If we do not beat UAPB handily we are in big trouble. Fact.

I think UAPB did beat us last year. Not saying we lose to them this year.

Yes UAPB beat us. It was their first road win out of conference in many years. Again, they purposely schedule hard games out of conference. All away games. They play 10 on the road in a row and sometime do not even go back to Pine Bluff in between games. But it prepares them for their conference in which they do well. If they win the conference they get an NCAA bid. So they do not care about winning the OCC. They are never going to get an at large bid. Losing to them at home is like the Washington Generals beating the Harlem Globetrotters. That is why losing to them (it was Doh's last year, not last year) was such an embarrassment.

Pretty nice for the team that they only have to leave Texas 3 times before the start of conference play

Pine Bluff doesnt bodybag their OOC schedule to prepare for conference, they do it because they get paid. 35-45k per game plus expenses to go on the road and give real teams a guaranteed victory. Thats how they fund their athletic department. If they didnt make money from selling out their ooc schedule, they wouldnt be able to put a team on the court.

I'm going to ask you guys a favor, losing to UAPB was one of the worst moments of my life as a sports fan, and I'm going to ask you guys to STOP REMINDING ME! It seriously gives me the heebie jeebies when I have to remember that night. I dont think most of you understand how miserable of a low point that was for Mustang basketball, it made us a national laughing stock. Not to say SMU hadnt disgraced themselves pretty thoroughly against USC-Upstate and a few others, but UAPB was beneath the bottom of the barrrel. I never want to even hear that name again. Beating them a hundred times cant erase the stain of that disaster.

I don't think last year's loss to UAPB was as bad of a loss as the the B. D. E. is talking about.

That year Doh had a full team and UAPB beat us. Last year we only had a 7 person rotation and 1 was injured so it was not as bas of a loss imo. Last year was more because of fatigue. As B. D. E. said the loss 2 years ago was a low for the program.

I do not believe we played them last year. That is why it is not as bad as Doh's last year.

You are right Mrydel, we played and lost to UALR last year. UALR who I was thinking about.

I went to that game and we should have won. But UALR and UAPB are in no way comparable. You are correct in all you said if you substitute UALR for UAPB.

To be clear, I went to the UALR game in Doh's last year. It was in Little Rock. I did not make the one in Mexico.
