Before the year's out, Burley will be the target of a lot of schools' recruiting efforts. He's tall and lanky, but pretty strong (although he definitely will get stronger). He can outrun many defenders, and there are few (if any) DBs with the size and speed and strength to compete with him on high passes. He runs with long strides, which he needs to shorten to make quicker breaks on routes, but the potential is there to be a big-time WR at the college level.

The more I read about the younger Burley, the more I think we need him in Red and Blue.
Thanks for the analysis, Guru.

Not yet, according to Rivals -- that site says he has interest in Arizona, Boston College, Iowa, Kansas, Mizzou, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and us. He's listing offers from 'Zona, BC and Kansas.

I believe the actual report said his leaders were the 3 schools that have offered plus Missouri, Oklahoma St. and SMU.

Well, no .... it didn't say that.

"Burley is sitting on three scholarship offers, from Arizona, Kansas and Boston College.... Obviously the three schools who have offered are in the running. Burley also mentioned SMU, Oklahoma State and Missouri as programs that he was looking at and considering."
Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
