Projected SMU Campers-July 23

Postby Stallion » Wed Jul 13, 2005 3:50 pm

I'm going to start a thread listing players who have stated they intend to be at SMU's July 23 camp. Its hard to search the Rivals Database for this but I have noticed the following intended campers:

QB Brad Taylor 6-3,205 4.52(unconfirmed) Madisonville
QB Joe Mauro 6-4, 199 4.7 (confirmed) L.D. Bell
WR Andrew Novak 6-2, 190 4.5 (unconfirmed) Ennis
QB John Skelton 6-5, 201 5.06 (confirmed) EP Burgess
OT Soloman Orr 6-5, 310 5.2 (unconfirmed) Mesquite
OG/DT Michael Booker 6-3, 295 5.4 (confirmed) Paris North Lamar
S/RB Chase Hall 6-2, 180 4.5 9unconfirmed) Boyd

Also even after commiting to Tech HP OLM Chris Olson indicated he might still go to the July 23 SMU camp.

ADD

8. Broderick Gaffney (6-4, 210 4.7 -he claims he recently ran 4.6-unconfirmed) Clarksville(2A)---SMU, Baylor, OU, A&M, Ark, SFA. Hearing the most from BU and SMU and SMU is starting "to stand out to me". "It's closer to home and I just like the atmosphere." No offers reported. Also stated he competes in AAU BB.

You like to see your DEs bigger than that, and your OLBs faster.
Could he bulk up enough to play inside LB?

to be fair-I believe I am correct in stating that a school can not offer a recruit at one of the Senior Camps but can extend an offer immediatelty thereafter. Somebody want to clarify that?

Stallion - You are correct, offers can not be extended during the actual camp however, the offer can be sitting in their mailboxes the next morning.
