June Jones does not recruit, period. His recruiting classes are atrocious and is always in the 90-125 recruiting classes and then justify that he jokingly can train them up.
In his sixth year has yet to beat a top 25 team except TCU which is a rivalry game so you expect a one to money trade off which he hasn't.
He doesn't connect with alums and fan base. If anything just creates hostility, obviously...
All 3 together creates the worst coach. Sure the Hawaii bowl (1st time) was exciting same for armed forces bowl but after that its c'mon win a conference championship... Get us to a reputable bowl not a gimme bowl. Time is now to curb stomp him and put Hal as interim.
I would be shocked that you have an smu degree except that I taught at SMU and we have far too many like you. Your viewpoint is hopelessly skewed and you are totally intellectually ill equipped to deal with the realities of the situation. There are two sides to every story. There are lines and there are things that exist between the lines. An ability to evaluate and analyze is what takes people to another level. I fear you may never get there. I would caution you that your commentary is stuck out in the world forever, you should try to ensure it is worthy of such longevity.

The lack if rational thinking on here is pitiful. June has his faults but he also has strengths. There is no guarantee that losing June will be beneficial to the program or that keeping him will be detrimental.
Most of you pay no attention to what I say because of your preconceived notions as to who I am and what my motivation is, but I would suggest we should all sit back and enjoy the benefits of having June as our coach. We are breaking all the all time smu records.
You don't get it we buy tickets and give to the Mustang club year after year. Each year fewer and fewer come to see mediocrity. Eventually you and a few hundred can watch SMU play d-II football in Blooming Grove High School Stadium.
I know what you are saying. And we must continue to push to improve. But the mediocrity which is now being derided was the most we could dream of not that long ago, and it is a platform from which we are better equipped to take things forward. It is frustrating but I don't believe we are moving backwards, though I respect the fact that you may disagree with that.

ALL YOU DO HERE IS MORONIC NAME CALLING. YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE A HIGHER STANDARD BUT ACT LIKE TRASH.

Lol care to say why? Murders, robberies, rape etc happen there all the time so yes I consider it the trash of Dallas. Whether y'all are blind to it or not is irrelevant to what happens to people there day in day out. So unless you have an actual connection to why I'm an embarrassment then please shut up lol you don't say anything reputable or with any hint of logic.

We recruit a lot of kids from the south Dallas area. Are you calling them and their parents trash?

What in the world are you smoking? Must be something pretty good. I mean your last comment has no tangible argument to it other than a simple: I disagree with you and you have a different opinion. Also I guess be "shocked" cause I have a degree from one of the only reputable fields in education: business. Not petty liberal arts degree and sit in a park and theorize on what is and what will be and how mediocrity is a state of mind or some hippie crap.

They could be or they might not be, I'm just saying the area is full of trashy terrible people. Its like the reverse, "Highland Park is a snobby place" is it the majority, sure, so it gets the stereotype. This is nothing new, I challenge you people to go ask your friends and say how would you characterize south Dallas in one word. I bet it would be negative.

Your inability to comprehend even the basics of what I have said on this board time and time again belies the intellectual void in which you live your life. Business is a very reputable field in which to immerse oneself academically, but no more than any field. And, as with any field, it is limited, and while you may be a guru of the business world, your posts on this message board sound like a town crier that you know nothing of the world at large or the power of anything other than a pocket book. And frankly you don't seem to have a grasp of the economics of this situation either. We do not merely disagree. While he have divergent points of view, I express mine rationally and they are far broader than yours, which are in turn arrogant, ignorant and small-minded. It is in improving people like you that I see the greatest value in investing the billion dollars that SMU is currently engaged in raising. We cannot continue to turn out graduates with your inability to think.

This is a public massage board and recruits and their parents read it. SMU is already stereotyped as a racist school that is unfriendly to minorities which the coaches are trying to dispel. Public comments like that do not help. I know people over there that are not trash. It is truly sad to see someone say things like that but want to recruit players from that area. Or would you rather not recruit players from that area?

I, for one, wouldn't paint South Dallas with a "broad brush" and call them "trashy" people. . . If someone thinks Highland Park's "s-h-a-t don't stink," they may need to go and have their blinders removed. Didn't realize s-h-a-t letters put together would show up as {deleted}

yet Gerald Ford just donated 15 Million to Dedman College. You aren't educated unless you have a broad based education-you just think you are and people are laughing behind your back. see mirror

Ok mustangabu enlighten me in your hippie crap where you have yet to say anything in value. How is your posts any better than cougarking cause even the 90% of the fan board thinks you live high in the clouds where you and JJ can take sniff of cocaine together. You have yet to really disprove any of my comments instead just go off on random and illogical tangent of just saying basically: I like to think I'm smarter than you. Its truly comical because one of true academic status would be able to dismantle any argument regardless of how "invalid" or "irrational" you might think ones comments are. So until you provide any value to the conversation I'll just continue to laugh at your hippie logic. But its whatever you will continue in your circle logic of thinking I have no valid argument or standing and I'll just continue to roll my eyes til I see some persuasive evidence of how you have a more valid argument than me.
