he's just a guy caught in no man's land. As coach said...he thinks he's a 3 who should be starting and playing the majority of minutes at that position...but that's not what's best for this team. I think this opens the door for Frazier to get more minutes and I expect to see a lot of 3 guard lineups

i don't think he is making a good decision, but i do understand the timing. If he played last night, his chance to have two years of remaining eligibility somewhere else was gone, and that would have meant he was alot less appealing as a transfer. With two years left to play, he has plenty of options and can play the position he wants to play somewhere else. Maybe. Sux for us though.

Things like this happen when a team makes upgrades in talent like SMU has over the past year. In Jalen's tweet he was very kind and harbors no ill will towards SMU. Sometimes things don't workout where you are and you change. Some of us have switched jobs before and everything turned out good. SMU will do well and so will Jalen imo. GO SMU.

who knows what he and coach Brown talked about? I have no idea what Jalen's plans might be after college. Just hope he uses what time he has in school to prepare himself for the rest of his life...after basketball. We knew there weren't going to be enough minutes to go around this year

Program is not being built for this year-recruit over. This will not look good on his NBA resume-can't sacrifice for a team coached by Larry Brown.

See ya. No patience for guys not willing to compete whatsoever for a roster spot. We'll fill your place with someone better. Bye now.

We have benefited from transfers coming to SMU. No problem with some leaving out. Go SMU.

Happens every day. Wish him well and get someone better. If this was a starting FB player I might be worried about getting someone better, but Brown will find someone good.

Good luck Jalen.

Bad decision by a good kid. He should have toughed it out. He definitely would have helped us. But remember he threatened to transfer before so there must be a little attitude there.

Good luck to him. We are better with him, but ultimately he is losing more opportunity than we are bring hurt by his loss.

Thanks though for all his hard work here at SMU.
