To the MOBYou guys were great against TCU, really great. You had a nice turnout and you were loud. Yet in Garland you were almost nonexistent. Believe me, I realize the AAC is a lot easier to get to than Garland with DART but can the leaders of the MOB try to get an AAC type crowd there next week? We need your energy in a bad way. LB and players definitely deserve a much better crowd than we had for R.I.

Re: To the MOBThe school has looked into several options to get them out there. The MOB's response was basically if you run shuttle buses throughout the game, we can go. This is an oversimplification, but they were not open to one bus there before and one bus back after because of the times involved in making it happen. Buses would need to leave campus at 5:30 and would not get back until 10:30. There were other logistical issues cited, but, if you have other (realistic) ideas, I am certain the school and MOB would consider.

Re: To the MOB
Rereading my post, it sounds a little negative. This was not meant to be negative towards the school or the MOB. It was an attempt at being as factual as possible. I see both points of view and understand the difficulties for both parties. "This is . . . dedication to distraction by fans. Is that what I'm going to go with Jay?"

Re: To the MOBWhy multiple bus times? If you need more buses because of volume of folks then the school should provide that. But multiple bus times (if I'm reading it right) makes it too complicated and costly. If these guys truly want to do this, then tell them the bus will be here at x for pick up and then at y to come back. That's it.

Re: To the MOBThere are no MOB leaders right now. The group has no formal unification currently, however I think the athletic department is trying to find leaders right now. The turnout for the TCU game was pure student support. The bus situation is a little bit of a time commitment, but not a major issue honestly. My friends will be on the bus next Wednesday.
I would also have driven to the Arkansas game if it wasn't on a Monday.
Re: To the MOBso what students can only commit to the first half or second half? I don't get it. Should we reduce the slogan to "20 Minutes of Hell and Then I got to Go"

Re: To the MOBThe MOB needs leadership to co-ordinate the group like the Duke students.
The Cameron Crazies have leadership that passes out fliers with chants, cheers ect and when during the game they will do them. It keeps everybody co-ordinated and makes a much better impact. Pony 81
Re: To the MOBthe students that may have class at 5 and would want to go but can't make it until afterwards

Re: To the MOBI still can't believe it has taken this long for the Athletic Department to restart a student run athletics fan organization. I was the president of Mustang Maniacs the year before it ended. I believe that was in 2006 or 2007. Basically, the AD said they couldn't support us any longer. Which was ironic as we self funded the organization with t shirt sales...
I hope they hop back on board with a student run organization and get The Mob going as an official org and give them actual support. I couldn't believe it when the ath dept decided that we (the students) weren't worthwhile anymore... Re: To the MOB
No kidding. Either you go and have a great time or just stay the heck home. None of this shuttle busing back and forth stuff. Commit to something or get the hell out of the way. I am all for a bus for students, but for the entire game!

I like that. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: To the MOB
This is inconsistent with what has been explained to me by Hart. While I don't think there are formal leadership positions within the MOB, I do understand it that there are a few individuals in the MOB that have a relationship and open dialogue within the athletic department. Re: To the MOB
That's how it was when I was in school. I was the official Mustang Maniacs President my Senior Year, and unofficially head of it my junior year. I had contacts in the AD and with Coach Doh. My two cents: Just keep the communication lines open "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: To the MOB
Right my understanding is that there WILL be one, but right now it doesn't exist. If there is one, no one in the MOB knows who they are haha.
