Good luck tonight guys...really looking forward to it! I think it could go either way honestly. We usually play very well at home but you should be our biggest home OOC opponent of the year

Let's go Mustangs!

This game is crucial. Not to underestimate the next few games, but winning here will be huge for us, since we should be strong favorites for the next 3 games, before our showdown with Virginia.

I don't know anything about the hogs' team, but looking at their player stats from their last game, below are my thoughts:

- they have a deep team, with 9 players getting plenty of minutes. It was a close game with UL Lafayette up until the last 5 minutes. We have a deep team, so don't see this advantage against us.
- looks like they play 3 guards, 2 forwards - likely one forward is F/C.
- not a good 3-pt team, but very good at free-throws.
- they seem to be a good shot-blocking team, but not sure how much of that had to do with a potential size advantage vs ULL.

FT shooting will be key. We need to make these points count. I hope our bigs have a strong presence and make make the easier baskets which they have struggled with during the first 2 games.

It was actually Louisiana (Lafayette) that we played, they have a PG that should be drafted that killed us but we pulled away late. Baylor beat them 87-68 IIRC.

We should have a really strong frontcourt this year and have the best rebounding team weve had in a long time, that's been our achilles heel for a while. We haven't found a true PG though and really do that by committee. SG Anthlon Bell is the only threat to get hot from outside consistently. 5* freshman Bobby Portis starts at C and shows flashes but obviously still suffers some growing pains.

Our best player so far though is someone you might be familiar with, Houston transfer PF Alandise Harris. He's been coming off of the bench but could earn a start this game, we'll see. SF Michael Qualls has been great too though and had this SC top 10 dunk last week

Overall this should be Anderson's best team so far but time will tell if we're consistent enough to make the NCAAT...NIT would be a step forward

Welcome to the Board gohogs. Should be an interesting match up. I really wish we were playing y'all at home/neutral...would bode a lot better for us.

Good luck tonight.

Sounds pretty similar to our squad. We are a much better rebounding team than in the past with additions of Moreira and Kennedy. But while you guys have yet to find your PG, we've found ours, Nic Moore. He's our most valuable player early on. Don't let his size fool you. He's a player. Moore and Frazier are our only real threats from the outside.

Yeah we only won one road game all of last year (Auburn) so definitely glad it's a home game for us!

Our starting PG was projected to be Ky Madden, but he was suspended for the first game and barely played last game. That should be the key position for us even after tonight.

By the way not to get off topic, but how is Neal Burcham doing? I know a few people wanted him to get an offer from us and couldn't understand why he never got more offers despite showing out at the elite 11 camp

Sorry, Nick Russell also has the ability to knock down the outside jumper.

He's the backup to Gilbert. I believe the coaches are very high on him and he'll likely be our starter next season.
