lol, one bucket over each shoulder is not a scoring threat. I wouldn't even guard him til he's two feet from the rim. And I have watched. Ben Moore has had a nice night in his minutes.

Don't be that new guy [deleted], the kid can play and was good all night. He only got 7 shots b/c the backcourt was too busy turning it over or chucking. He shot over 50% and nailed all his FTs. He scored efficiently and w/low post moves. He should have grabbed more boards. He's been the least of our problems this year. Ben Moore has been nothing short of great. Kennedy was a no show

Kennedy was a flipping nightmare. And honestly, it was Manuel with the TO problems. He's the only one that stood out to me. I'm not saying Yannick was a problem, but he's certainly not someone that the opposing team is going to dig and leave a shooter open. Just not much of an offensive threat and there's nothing wrong with that. My point is simply, there is a need to upgrade that talent because it will be the spot that is lacking next year. A JUCO and a transfer that couldn't cut it at a dwindling Big East program (Kennedy) isn't exactly a recipe for a deep run in the tourney. Leopards can't change their spots, it is what it is.

Kennedy wasnt a transfer that couldnt cut it. Wright fought tooth & nail to keep him. He's just a soph, so there's time, but guys like Portis are a bad match-up , too long for him. No doubt we could use talent upgrades at multiple positions, though. On a night like tonight, not sure why anyone is complaining about our bigs. Nic Moore was a no show until late, Manuel had 7 t.o's and Nick Russell was far better last year. Crandall Head is Crandall Head, and Sterling Brown is transitioning to the wing after being an undersized 4 in high school etc.

Moreia a JUCO-at least give him until December to draw conclusions. He wasn't really the problem tonite when Arkansas was raining threes and beating us at the FT line. Signs he is raising his game

I disagree about Kennedy but that's fine. From everything I heard and saw up there, the writing was on the wall.

The guards, well...it's just going to take time. Still trying to feel each other out and it's evident on the floor. Too many sequences of bad possessions and not getting out in transition (until late). Nic Moore was a no-show with the foul trouble. I don't expect this to be a recurring theme but the hand-checking is getting guards all over the place. I was impressed by how little it affected the bigs relatively speaking. I was up at the Champions last week and it was the bigs the entire night that were being affected. Same at the ND game yesterday, Burgett fouled out coming off the bench. Not that ISU hitting everything from 3 helped but that's another story. This team will only go as far as Moore allows them to at the end of the day, he will be the motor throughout the season.

even when opponents drive to the bucket, SMU's big men make it pretty tough to score-they maybe inconsistent on offense but I like the interior defense. I was a little disappointed in the first half rebounding but they turned that around in second half

Maybe shouldn't have run off Bernardi . Could have used his stroke off the bench tonight.

There was no writing on the wall, I know the deal. Wright tried to talk him into staying twice. We got him b/c he's boys w/Duncs our video coordinator, it was even investigated by the NCAA who originally declared him ineligible. Brown lived in Philly and watched tons of Nova practices and knew everything he needed to know about Kennedy. He got legit burn as a frosh behind Yarou and was ahead of Armwood.

Moore had an off night, gonna happen

They didn't run off Bernardi, they wanted him to stay, and even held off on his release for awhile. His Dad had a few health issues and Brian wanted to be a focal point, so he left. You're right, we could use his shooting
