...or at least change it to "BB Recruiting".

We all know that it will be crickets on anything football-related for the next 1-2 years. Oh, except how we lost a 3 or 4 star signee and picked up another kid with ZERO offers.

Meanwhile, basketball stories/posts about Bolden and Turner and other 5 star players next year like Hogg/Davis will be everywhere thanks to LB and staff.

PNC- I had the same idea, you just beat me to it. change the board to BB recruiting and lump fball with 'other sports' section. After all, it appears that the administration wants us to become a bball school with fball as an after thought.

I recommend changing it to "Transfer Board". I have said in the past that it would be best to get word out to all NCAA players wanting to transfer and/or those graduating but with playing eligibility left and can play right away that SMU is the place to be. Why waste scholarships on Texas high school players who are unproven and have to go to these Coaching conventions and mingle with these Texas high school coaches. So demeaning. I really believe it will work. These transfers don't care about big crowds or fan support, they want playing time and possibly have a shot at the NFL. June has shown that what he lacks in recruiting he and his staff make up for preparing guys to play in the nfl. And for those guys who have graduated they can get their Masters at SMU so it is a win win for both sides.

All the above are good ideas.

But it might also be instructive if all those football fans who DON"T want another year with JJ stayed OFF the recruiting page altogether so long as he remains. Perhaps the faithful, the sunshiners, the kool-aid drinkers could quickly determine the real reason why the program has broken down if they did not have to defend the signing of DIR prospects.

Maybe there could be a cash prize awarded by the athletic department for the best original answer to the problem.
