DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to winModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to winReading the article, it comes across as if June Jones really does get it. Then you go check our commitments on rivals and… I'll stop right there.
Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to win
Apparently they look here and go elsewhere.
Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to win
Right, that's it. And this lamp, and that's all I need.
Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to win
Can't wait to see who they are!
Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to win
And I don't need one other thing, except my dog. And a 4 month vacation in Hawaii every year.
Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to winAm I wrong that June has gotten every recruit admitted who qualified?

Don't forget a Special Teams coach
Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to winThis town's media, with rare exception, has this bizarre fascination with coaches. The never suggest coaches should be fired. They cover up coaches' transgressions. Maybe it is every town but this town's media worships coaches. There has never been a tcu, unt or smu coach that should be fired. Even knowing Mac Brown won't come back, they won't say it is the right thing to do. They talked about Campo and Wade getting raw deals from Jerry. They cover up/overlooked Nellie skipping practice to play golf and promoted his BS demand for an extension and then suggested Nellie shouldn't have been fired by Cuban after Nellie basically begged to get fired so he could get paid not to coach. They never talk about Landry being so old and out of it he sent in the wrong play from the sideline n a game. They overlook the fact that many of Jimmy's friends said he wouldn't coach the Cowboys more than five years.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to winGood point, Dooby. Hadn't really considered that before.

Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to winVery Good. I would add, JJ is 36-40 at SMU. Average ranking of 36 teams he has defeated...#110

With slight *. He got just about every one admitted who didn't have a criminal record (5 years in jail) and 2 kids that were offered delayed admission in January if they completed two community college courses. One went to UTSA and quit within about 1 year. One changed commited to UCLA and was delayed admission at UCLA and you guessed it took two community courses in California. Never went to UCLA-was he denied admission? I don't know but he claims he switched commitment to Oregon St. Quit football within 1 year after never playing game because of recurring high school injury. There may have been an obscure JUCO TE too who committed late but was never admitted because of either some non-transferring PE/correspondence courses or something. He never started at Arkansas St. He was only committed for a few weeks so I doubt many remember him Last edited by Stallion on Fri Dec 06, 2013 12:23 am, edited 3 times in total.

He made it in then transferred. Stallion can give you more examples of how the admissions issue is no longer a problem. #HammerDown
Re: DMN: SMU is lucky to have June Jones - he's going to winDante Levingston was admitted and attended for a full year. He quit SMU because he was a Klemm commit and decided to leave on his own. BTW we were just discussing him on Scout. He ended up at Santa Monica JC-and now has about 8 offers from Sun Belt and below type programs but also perhaps Tech and Kansas St
