Wait a minute. If JJ has an extension in hand then why is there negotiation? Something is rotten on the Hilltop.

Pope's a serious stud in my book. Really, how many guys play an entire game both ways these days? And make great contributions on both sides of the ball. Impressive.

Solution to June's Issues:

Have SMU tell him that June has convinced them that SMU needs to show (even more than 150 Million in commitment) by building an IPF. Unfortunately, the C. of C. no longer has the money to pay his salary because they are redirecting funds to IPF

Did JJ ruin Popes' chance at playing at the next level by never using him as a running back. In very limited playing time he looked like an Alfred Morris type back. He looked extremely fast and shifty.

Because he is saying he won't sign it unless the school does other things, like build an IPF

Than we should say we won't sign it period. Offer withdrawn. And then the day after he resigns announce the IPF.

I was told that the TV guys made it sound like if SMU didn't have JJ come back then SMU is not "serious" about football.
I don't feel like watching the recording at home just to listen to what the TV guys said. I was told they sounded often pro JJ and negatively towards SMU. Seems the DP is something mentioned all the time and multiple times.
JJ must've fed them full of bull in pre-game interviews.

JJ was never my 1st choice for HC because I already knew enough BS about him. I wouldn't have had a problem walking in and firing him after 2010 and I definitely would've done it after 2011.

I appreciate the Line family connection, but 29 ain't no RB, ok, maybe a blocking FB @ best, but thats not part of the offense.

You can really see the signs of poor recruiting with the depth @ the QB, RB, DL, DB's.
I guess you can almost go to ever position.

Zach didn't break out until his Sophomore season. Don't give up on Line, P.

We will need him when we play the Chad Morris option offense

I think they may have used the term not "committed" as opposed to not "serious." I could be wrong though.
