Wasn't his system billed as an equalizer?
And it is one. But all the X's and O's in the world isn't going to count if you can't block and tackle. (See UGA whipping Hawaii).

Yeah? So why hasn't a P5 conference team ever hired JJ?
(TCU was winning waaaaay before it go into the Big 12.)

Um, He's been back in college for over 15 years. What are you talking about?
I was asked why JJ was never offered a head coach position at a P5 school and I was simply pointing out that he's already been a head coach at a higher level than any P5 school.
I'm tired of bickering. You hate lemmings are wearing me out. You win. JJ is the devil.
Not gonna worry about it anymore. . . One more year, than something from the SMU administration better {deleted}ing happen. . . Until spring & summer roll around, I'm giving my full support to Larry Brown & the SMU basketball team

what i can do personally is find another team to root for - a team that actually values having a winning football program.
i can express my displeasure by not taking a trip to Dallas for a game, which I usually do. i can just let it go and i will probably be a much happier person.
So you were willing to suffer through 20 years of crap, perennial rankings in the bottom 10, and only an aspiration to be mediocre, and now you're jumping ship? You'd be willing to stop supporting our program because June Jones has pissed you off/hasn't recruited the way you see fit/doesn't coach the way you like? By that logic you'd prefer the past 20 years of being god awful over our worst season in half a decade being 5-7. Pretty logical.
Here's to those that wish us well and all the rest can go to hell!!!

Maybe he was expecting more than 6-6 last year and 5-6 this year during regular season with the reduced restraints on JJ that no other coach in over 20 has had.

"His", I.e. Mouse Davis' system wad en equalizer when defenses were set up to stop the wishbowe and power running games. Today everyone is set up to stop tons of fast receivers. Today the equalizer is the option game like Navy.
How is this story any different than June saying that he has got a contract extension and will probably sign it? No June quotes this time. That is the only difference.
