Everyone was students except this one lady who I talked to for a while about SMU sports in general (she wantedJJ to leave too). She said she was faculty, and said that some tickets were released to them for the games and were sold out already, but said that she heard more may be opened up for faculty for the UCONN game if the students dont fill their allotment. Bigger news, I asked the guy at the counter how tickets for students were going and if we were going to run out. He checked his computer and said it looks like Rutgers is the closest to being out of tickets. Said 74 students tickets were left for that game. We may actually end up coming through on our side of the deal, we need about 6k of y'all to do your part Also, Peruna (the costume one not the real one) came by all the fraternity houses at lunch with a sign that said get your basketball tickets now, he took a couple pictures with guys
Awesome, saw Peruna on Instagram with the sign. It's fitting everyone is getting their tickets on the last day to do so. We've always had a fashionably late crowd

I have a feeling that game may have poor attendance student wise, just cuz most people got their first 3 (or 2) and then have to go back. And it hasnt been advertised very well.

if kids have a good time at the game during rush week it will help hoftsra attendance

Yeah but wont they have already released those tickets to the general public? It's not just walk up anymore. So you can't decide on wed. you want to go to the game on Sunday w/out having to buy tickets correct? Im also disappointed with how IFC (and I go to meetings every week) has handled the rush week game. That was a cool tradition that we always had mandatory attendance at. This year it is just suggested to get your tickets. But it sucks because not all the freshmen have tickets so it's kind of to each fraternities advantage, rush wise, to not go to the game and just have a party for freshmen.

Looking forward to the colorful array of greek shirts. Too bad they won't wear SMU shirts and support the team for 2 hours rather than tout their affiliation with their sorority/fraternity. School shirts always look good when the basketball schools (and Baylor) are shown on TV.

+1000. So glad my fraternity refused to sport those damn shirts even though the school tried to force us every year. They may do it now, not sure. But I'm not sure why any guy would WANT to wear those.

I wore it once. When we were made to. Hasn't moved since then. I'd consider cutting the sleeves off and wandering around in it, if only to see if I could be the world's biggest [deleted].

The new members in my house will be wearing smu shirts NOT letters to the game. Im in charge of it and I hate when houses do that, support your school first, then your fraternity.

good choice Fresno! it looks stupid when you tune into an smu game and just see kids in greek letters. it divides us even further - we are ALL their to support SMU basketball - not a particular house!
