OU at home..
Saw OU's schedule for Bball last week. At SMU on Jan 4 I think.. pretty sure on date. Will be a packed house I would think.. hopefully not "Norman South"

SMU win over Oklahoma
Actually, Stallion - you are almost right.
SMI beat Oklahoma in the Bluebonnet Bowl in the Astrodome
on New Year's Eve 1968 - with Hixson and Levias among others.
Also - we will probably not have many Mustangs in attendance at the
basketball game on 1/4/06. That is during Christmas/Winter break
and there will be no Mustang Band and very few students.
I certainly will be there and hope all on this board will try to make it,
but this is not the best of times to have the game here.
By the way, we should have beaten OU in basketball a couple of
years ago. We outplayed them, but finally lost in overtime at a
Holiday tournament in Oklahoma City.
I'm looking forward to both football and basketball this year, but then,
I always do - we're undefeated in both at the moment.
Go Mustangs, and welcome to all of our new freshmen and transfer
players.

1) Will hopkins be able to practice with the team while he can't play in those december games, or is he "on his own" to be in game shape after having to sit out?
2) Will the OU game be his first game back?
If it is, hopefully that will push him to be 100% mentally and physically since that game should get some attention.

Hey, don't forget your Alumni Band that fills in for the Mustang Band at BBall games during the Christmas break. You will have a band there making noise, screaming at the opposing players and providing the atmosphere that is college basketball.
Just send 'da money.

My daughter is a sophomore at OU and will be in town on the 4th. I have to figure some way to keep her from going to this game. Any ideas? We won't need any more boomers in our house.
Tell her it's at OU. Then remind her she chose "un-wisely." I would choose Tyler Junior College over Blow-u

This will be a good test for the Mustangs, we will find out how good they really are.
