It is interesting that a celebrity sports announcer and likely future HOF-er with ties to two big time football programs has nice words for SMU, but I don't believe that translates to him being a coaching candidate. The reasons have been stated above. It might be that Aikman's contacts in the football world have given him valid opinions on who should be the next HC at SMU, but that is a different matter. For all we know he has already been asked by the C of C.
