Unlike you, I want SMU in a BCS conference to compete in Football. Basketball is not as important in getting us to a BCS conference.

Hoops is always important. It's doubly important when it might aid in dragging football's limp, sagging as* in to a better conference down the road. Memphis and Temple sure didn't get in to the 'Murica based on football merit alone. Nor did 'Cuse, Pitt and 'Lousville get in to the ACC based solely on it (although Louisville had built a very strong football program for a number of years before their invite.

unt attendance is not at all better than SMU when the size of the schools is considered. In fact, UNT is an embarrassment on attendance, and their school is truly awful in every way except maybe the jazz band.

No one takes in to account the size of the school. Who gives a crap about that, really. "Oh their stadium is 1/4 full, but you know, it's a small school so great for them!"

UNT averaged 21k at home. We never touched 21k (except when we hosted a home game on our campus for tech)

You have suggested SMU becoming a "Basketball School"...what a boatload of crock.

Goal is BCS-AQ or Playoff berth conference status.

Conferences most likely to add SMU due to many factors: Big 12, ACC
Conferences less likely to add SMU: B1G, Pac 12
Conferences that would never add SMU (or anyone really...): SEC
