Very sad news. He was an absolutely great guy with a wonderful lust for life. I only spent a few times with him but those were memorable. What a great sense of humor and a passion for USC first and SMU second.

He didn't post much but when he did look out. We will miss Roy.

My prayers and condolences to his family.

Sad sad day. Never got to meet Roy in person, but always enjoyed reading his posts. He will be missed. RIP
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
