Lincoln Riley Interviewing for ND QB Coach

Postby Stallion » Wed Jan 15, 2014 11:46 pm

kid is what 33 and it won't be long before he's a head coach. He was on Leach's staff at Tech and was OC in Bowl game when Leach left. He's done a great job as ECU OC. This is a name to remember

Thanks for the tip. It would be interesting to see what are the common factors among these young guys and the predictability of them becoming great coaches in the future. Some seem to have something at a young age while others like, briles and morris develop as high school coaches and after a short time as assistants in college are successes as coordinators or head coaches. Is it their smarts, attention to detail, organizational skills, recruiting skills, communication skills, ability to evaluate and attract good assistants like Fry, innovation...maybe ability to teach with intimidation and motivate players to play at a high level like Patterson or Parcells.

Looks like he's staying at ECU for now.

Lincoln Riley is a great coach, elite play caller, and solid person. SMU would be smart to consider hiring him in the near future.
