Hmmm, let's see...Mumme handles the play calling, we get blown out and embarrased by everyone...SMU goes 1-4. June starts calling plays halfway through Rutgers game...hmmm, we only lost that game by 3, then we beat Memphis and Temple...then we lose to Cincy by 3....then we beat Uconn and USF...our QUARTERBACK is injured so we are left with a backup and lose the 2 remaining games, our backup is injured in the last game and we are left with a 4th string guy...and almost pulled an upset against UCF...4-3...

I'm glad he's gone, thank you very much! :D 8)

June said at the UCF game that Hal calls the first 30 to 40 plays and then he called the rest during the games. That came from June and not the hearsay that you are giving.

Right. We started 1-4 because of Mumme's play calling. Not because we played Tech, A&M, and TCU to start the year and have a roster full of players that June recruited. I mean this in the nicest way possible but, you have your head so far up your as.s, you could wear yourself as a hat.

Can we put a popup when you click on the Football message board that says "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here"?

Going to stick to the basketball board for a while. This football program is a colossal waste of time.

best decision you can make SMU2007. leave the football board to the june apologists like Berger. come back when jones is gone. check in every once in a while like i do, just to catch a view of the dumpster fire that is SMU football.

now..back to basketball. LONG LIVE LARRY BROWN!

Will someone remind me why we brought in Jason Phillips from Houston a few years ago?

I think we brought in Phillips to cover Houston - and he has done all the recruiting we have done this past year - all at one high school. At least he picked the right one.

Phillips is the only one that is not the problem.

No way in hell the A&M game is a sellout if SMU price gouges the [deleted] outta those tickets again this year. It should have been a full house for the first game and wasn't since SMU got greedy. Once all the fees were in those tickets were $90 a pop.

A&M plays Arkansas the very next week at JerryWorld so most Aggies who want to make a DFW trip are already going to choose that one. Have those ridiculous prices again and good luck getting A&M fans to turn out anywhere near the same numbers (half or more of the butts in seats in Ford) that they did last time.

A&M could sellout just with Dallas Aggies if priced fairly. I'd say there is a 100% shot of a sellout this time

Everybody already realizes it. PonyScott is just posting for emphasis.

JJ's run off the only two guys that has made this program better and upstaged his authority, Klemm and Mumme. Coincidence?

How much nicer can it get?

We are supposed to be competitive vs. Texas Tech, Texas A&M and TCU by now! Even with our losses to graduation/NFL on our offense/defense our game plan should have been in place so that our defense keeps us in the game and with good field position and our offense puts up points on the board against any adversary. TCU is a known rival that we play every year!!! No excuse to lose 48-17 against them!!
