Re: [deleted] June JonesBy the way - i have personally had this confirmed to me by parents of a current player. THey do NOT contact the player - they are just flat out lazy about recruiting - with possible exception of Phillips. Will be fun next fall to see where the coaching search takes us.

How do you know he thinks this? Hart is hamstrung by a previous contract with June. Don't project onto Hart unless you have actually heard him say this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk An atheist is a guy who watches a Notre Dame-SMU football game and

Re: [deleted] June JonesThis is going to sound like a dumb question in 2014, but do we have anyone on the football staff that uses social media for recruiting? That would be a cost effective method for reaching the maximum number of recruits. I read a story in the Atlanta paper that detailed the widespread use of twitter in SEC recruiting. Accoding ot the article, all but 3 of the ESPN 300 have twitter accounts. They get tweets from a lot of wierdo fans, but they also receive tweets from the athletic departments of the interested programs. Kids actually expect to get tweets from the schools. You are probably not on these kids radar if you don't tweet.
Re: [deleted] June JonesI saw JJ this weekend. He was trying to break the Lynch kid from N. Ill. at the East West Shrine Game. I guess Jerry Glanville is still willing to give Him a job. He was the OC/QB Coach for the East Team.

Re: [deleted] June Jones
I mentioned in an earlier post that he told me about recruiting against public schools, and also our disadvantage against the premier academic institutions. In his own words, he said the football staff doesn't go after certain players because of the level of time required with low chances of getting the recruit. Like I said, I could understand this if they at least put forth the efforts required with 3 stars and a few 4 stars. I thought the message was pretty clear. Project onto hart as you'd like. I got my takeaways.

You may be right about his thoughts but the bottom line it is how the coaching staff approaches it and hopefully our next coach will prove him and June wrong. I didn't mean to attack you. I am convinced with the right staff we can compete with anyone. LB showed how it's done as Stallion pointed out. Re: [deleted] June JonesMy fear is that if hart really thinks we're boned no matter what, he won't end up hiring the kind of person we need. Only time will tell, but even if you just read his straight from the hart columns, all he does is give excuses for why we will fail and doesn't give any solutions

Re: [deleted] June JonesI'd bet anything there are several coaches on staff who use social media in recruiting, although who knows how many. Has anyone e-mailed this article to Phillips, Daniels, Mason, Odum, etc.? If this kid is that great, he's still a year away from committing anywhere. Instead of crying about it, what say we try to help? Someone who knows the coaches can tell a coach about this guy, right?

Re: [deleted] June Jones
I believe this is now Coach Morrison's area. Also if a coach has a social media account it should be easy to find. I believe a few have facebook but June might be the only one with a twitter account.
