I have a friend who is a fellow SMU alum that is an assistat principal here in Dallas. I won't say the name of the school, but it is in Dallas and produces several D1A caliber players every year. He said that in the 6 years that he's been associated with the school both as a teacher and administrator that an SMU football coach has been on campus ONE TIME. Once in six years at a school that produces several quality prospects every year. Now you tell me if that is worth $2M a year.
June doesn't care and neither do Turner or his yes man Hart

1. SMU HAS NO INTEREST IN FOOTBALL
2. JUNE JONES HAS NO INTEREST IN SMU
3. JUNE JONES HAS NO INTEREST IN RECRUITING
So please go ahead and invest your money, time, energy, and passion into a school and program that simply has no real desire to be great. As long as the program isn't an embarassment like it was for the majority of the last 25 years then Turner/Hart/CoC are more than happy. This athletic department and administration has proven they simply do not believe it can be done here. Going 6-6 is the goal now. Why support a program that doesn't support you? In fact, it is laughing at you while you continue to keep it on life support. Let this thing die. We are a basketball school now.
1) Which is why we are building an IPF on Wescott Field by 2015. 2) Which is why he signed an extension with SMU. 3) We cannot get any 5 or 4 star kids so snap out of it. We are getting the best we can. This is football. Basketball is a whole nother monster. In Basketball you don't have to be in a BCS conference to make it to the big dance, in Football you do.

And yet we can have June come out and visit them every single day and spend all his time there trying to get their recruits, and yes we may even get some to commit to SMU...and all it takes is for an OU, Texas, Oregon or LSU to just text them an offer and they will immediately switch commitment to that school. Get this through your head! WE COULD NOT COMPETE FOR THESE KIDS!! Now the story is changing and our reputation is getting better, so we are now starting to get looks from these kids. It takes A LOOOONG TIME to change a program's perception from trash to respectable and that is what we have been doing.

Fact: even before TCU was admitted to Big 12 65%+ of their recruits had BCS offers over an entire decade playing in conferences like the WAC, CUSA and the MWC. USF is doing it right now in a similiar recruiting warzone-Florida. UCF has done the same thing in past years

LOL. We can't compete for these kids?! Really? In the one year that Adrian Klemm was allowed to actively recruit for SMU he was able to land a commitment from Davon Moreland that offers from every PAC 12 school and several other top programs around the country. We were consistently in on kids with high level BCS offers. What happens when Klemm goes away? We are wiped off the recruiting map. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that SMU can't go head to head with major programs in our area and, every now and then, get a kid to sign here. You have to have the stomach for the fight. You're not going to be able to just call the kid up and get him to commit because his only other options were SFA and ACU. Its going to be tough. Its going to be bloody. You are going to lose a hell of a lot more than you win but you still have to put in the work. We lack the staff for that. It is undeniable and frankly sad that people are still blind to this.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Don't feed the troll. He flip flops from us being able to get 5 stars to being lucky to have 2 stars every other day. He's cougar king and the mods simply haven't woken up or don't have the spine to ban him.

One of the dumbest people I've seen across the internet, ever. Just an absolute moron who obviously has a ton of free time on his hands and uses exactly none of it to learn anything

Agree. No one should respond to his post until he pays up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've given up on collecting. I'm content with buying my own brews and sharing laughs and cigar talk with others at Barley House.

You are right Stallion. It is getting very hard to come to Ponyfans due to FHTP. I am considering (c)ountingpost.com among others until something is done about him.
