You are right Stallion. It is getting very hard to come to Ponyfans due to FHTP. I am considering (c)ountingpost.com among others until something is done about him.
+1
+ 2 it's why I bought a rivals membership (which is now looking like I should have gone with scout )

What was the payment?
He was spouting off about how Chad Morris had already been hired to be our HC, and so I bet him $100 in a bar tab that he was wrong. CenTx wanted in on the bet too, so FTHP agreed to split it 50/50 between the two of us EDIT: I actually was willing to bet him any amount of money, from what I recall, and he settled at $100

In the one year that Adrian Klemm was allowed to actively recruit for SMU he was able to land a commitment from Davon Moreland that offers from every PAC 12 school and several other top programs around the country. We were consistently in on kids with high level BCS offers. What happens when Klemm goes away? We are wiped off the recruiting map. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that SMU can't go head to head with major programs in our area and, every now and then, get a kid to sign here. You have to have the stomach for the fight. You're not going to be able to just call the kid up and get him to commit because his only other options were SFA and ACU. Its going to be tough. Its going to be bloody. You are going to lose a hell of a lot more than you win but you still have to put in the work. We lack the staff for that. It is undeniable and frankly sad that people are still blind to this.
I think Hart takes it to another level when he says we cannot compete with UCF, Houston or Vandy,NW...that is simply not true. While I do understand we cannot simply compete for these 4-5 star kids that OU and Texas recruit, we can still go for these borderline 4 star and 3 star recruits from local schools. Our program is definitely in a better shape than it was before. If June is not even contacting the kids that do commit to SMU then that's a whole nother issue. Then I do agree that he isn't putting the work. Do I want a better attitude from June towards recruiting and no negativity? Yes. I am keeping an open mind towards SMU's decision to keep June Jones so we will have to see if our recruiting starts improving from here forward.

Pretty lame if you make a bet and refuse to honor it.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Not only would have paid you but I would have also bought everyone and their mother drinks had Chad Morris been named the next coach. With that said you made a stupid bet.

I don't have to respect you to respect myself and honor my word, had I lost. And like CenTx, I also would have bought everyone around me drinks which I usually do anyway, which is why my bank account is always so low

I have no dog in this fight as a neutral observer, but it seems clear to me that you've completely undermined your credibility. Not to mention that a decent (wo)man doesn't barter his respect and honoring his word in exchange for the same from others; it's a sign of character to maintain both regardless of situation.

Respect starts in the home. If I had settled on the bet I'd ship a gift card and post the receipt. Even BOP would get some Mangria if I bet him But seriously, http://carolladrinks.com/ BOP check it out it's from Cali. Wine and spirits mix with 20.9% alcohol content.

Lazy. For some reason forecasting who is going to be a top receiver at the collegiate level and NFL is hard to do. go back and look at the Dave Campbells top 300 selections each year back 5 or 6 years and see how many make an impact....maybe 4 out of 30 in a good year. So many of the athletic types committed to UT and don't pan out. My point is that Texas has hundreds of kids that can be receiver at the D1 level but it takes more than 4.4 speed and or the ability to catch like in the old days. Staying healthy and hard work at the craft and great coaching are immeasurables coming out of high school. Beasley, Sanders, Johnson..not so much the dedication, Welker,
